Emails from the meet
Just want to say thanks to all. An amazing event for a first timer like me. Everyone was so nice and the guys/gals that put this on deserve a ton of gratitude. Looking forward to the next one already.

A resounding success! Kudos to Rob and Bob for organizing, handling the people moving logistics in a terribly congested town, selecting a wonderful hotel and drawing in members and their guests. Jay Leno's agreeing to personally host us at his Big Dog Garage was clearly the magnet that drew folks from 28 states, 3 Canadians and 3 Aussies - total 184 registrations - to experience Jay's fabulous collection of automobiles, motorcycles, huge custom studio-painted wall art that complemented the cars, countless model cars and car accessories, and his machine and paint shops where a variety of cars were in stages of restoration/repair. The time we spent there was but an appetizer of its entirety, impossible to fully absorb it all. Our Warner Brothers Studio tour was wonderful - reminding us that many of the scenes we see in movies and tv shows are fabricated with props. Of course, the Peterson Museum visit was also a winner. A big Thank You! to Per Blixt for driving his fuelie 300-D coupe to our hotel and visiting with us Sunday afternoon, as well as to our Wednesday Car Show that drew 19 Letter Cars and a handful of other older Mopars. We met many enthusiatic new first-time Meet attendees and look forward to their joining us at our future Meets. Several folks commented about Pasadena being our Club's best attended Meet, and who all contributed to making this a most memorable Meet. I don't know about pre-2006 Meets, but this and our 2015 Macungie Meet attendance came neck and neck.

Thanks to the Kerns and the Jasinskis for a very memorable trip. The precision of everything was spot on. I have a great photo of Jay and me shaking hands. The cars were overwhelming with Jay's and the Peterson museum. The hotel was great and the staff was very gracious. One of the best meets that I have ever attended. Hope to see everyone in Hershey.

I agree with everyone about the meet…as a first timer after 20 years+ as a member I am so glad I finally attended a meet. It was wonderful to meet some of the members who were so helpful in the restoration of my G. Jay Leno’s Garage was a once in a lifetime experience and the Petersen Museum was wonderful….thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this meet happen.

We departed the meet shortly after the banquet to fight the traffic and get home and made the trip without a problem. It is only about 38 miles but with two old people and two old cars it was challenging. After moving a bunch of cars around and putting the 300B and '54 T&C safely to bed we did the same.

I had serious doubts regarding the logistics of this meet and was vocal about it to the officers and board members but I must say that Bob J and Rob K and Noel H did an excellent job of moving a large group of people around the greater LA area. It came off without a hitch and knowing my close buddy Rob I should have known better. The venues of Leno's, WB studios and the Petersen were great and a special shout out to Jay for being so generous with his time and collection with the two very large groups of us.

We got to see many friends and share some memorable times and of course ate way to much of the wrong kind of food but isn't that what vacations are for?? So sorry that Gloria and Allan were not able to attend but rest assured that JoAnne Jones is almost as short as Gloria so I had a great time teasing her. Ray and I discussed politics and as always never agreed on anything but I know I enjoyed those talks and I think Ray did as well. It was great seeing and visiting my buddy Don Cole who let us store our clothes in his room for the last day after we checked out of the hotel. Bob and Elizabeth W. and also Jeff and Dee M. There are many more names but it is still early and I need caffeine so forgive me if I forgot anyone.

Our meet was complete when we saw Bill and Marilyn Allen's rig there and we spent much of our time with them. For those of you that do not know this couple you are truly missing something. I'll say it again that they are two of the nicest and most kind people of the planet and we are blessed to call them friends.

We got to meet lots of new faces and now can put faces with the names. In closing I'll state we are looking forward to the next time we can gather with some of our favorite people of God's planet. Safe travels home to all who attended.
John & Christie Lazenby

We had way too good a time. Bob and Rob were two of the most generous hosts. See many of you at Hershey.
Ron and Tracy Klinczar

John L has said it so much better than we could
Thank you to all ,Noel and John B too.
It went off perfectly.
I don’t think I’ll get a job driving a bus in LA!!!
John Grady , and Kathleen

One of the best meets I've ever attended. Every car club should put on an event as fine as this one. Rob, Bob, Noel and others...take a bow.

Thanks to Rob+Marnie Kern and Bob+Vicki Jasinski and the rest of the club members for putting on a fantastic meet. Thanks to Jay Leno for showing us his collection, it was fabulous. The Peterson Museum was awesome also, as was the Warner Brothers tour. Letter Car Jeopardy was a lot of fun. Only wish I could have stayed longer. My guests remarked on how nice all the club members were to them and had a great time also.
Mike Falcone

To Rob and Marnie and Bob and Vicki, (and everyone else who helped put the show together), Kathy and I had a fantastic time. All of the events and side trips were everything we hoped for and more. We drove to and from LAX airport in traffic so we really appreciated the coach buses taking us to Warner Brothers Studios, Jay Leno's Garage and the Peterson Museum. That took away a lot of stress. Everything went smoothly to and from the daily trip locations.
As always, great seeing old friends again and meeting new ones. Hope everyone got home safely.
Brian and Kathy Frank

We are still enjoying the weather and activities of southern California for one more day. Reflecting on the Meet and the Club, I find it hard to imagine there could be a finer group of people than this. Rob, Marnie, Bob and Vicki put their heart and soul and love into making this past week something most of us will never forget. Thank you! The Club responded by being timely, courteous, positive and fun. The result was an A+++ experience.
We were glad to spend time with some of our friends, but wistful we weren't able to spend more quality time with others. Perhaps in Hershey?!
Welcome to all of the first timers who came as well. Please come again!
Mark, Pauline and Matthew Obermann

I could not have said it better than John Lazenby. I did enjoy the usual bantering between "Etched in Stone" John and I, but someday He'll "See the Light". We missed the Moons also, but had LLoyd there which helped some, and I was able to point out the F.I. Ram at our car show, which made his day.
The Hosts did an excellent job, and probably set new records for attendance and venues! A "tip of the Hat" to the collective behind the scene bunch!
The trip was worth every penny for Jo and I, and goes to prove that even if you have to pinch pennies or Rob Peter to Pay (to attend) Paul, find a way. You'll be sorry if you don't.
Ray and Jo Ann Jones

A belated but emphatic Thank You to Bob, Vickie, Rob and Marnie for orchestrating this truly exceptional event. Our flights back to Maine got canceled due to weather back east and we had to make some alternative arrangements but Karen and I both feel it was all very much worth it!
Jay’s garage was a high point, of course, and epic kudos to Bob and Rob for making that “once in a lifetime” visit a reality. I was heartened to see that his automotive knowledge goes across marques and is encyclopedic.
It was great that he conducted the tours as we know He’s still a very busy guy.
It’s also ironic he will be at the Collins Center at U Maine Orono this Saturday !
