Crunching the H Numbers

Reference books say production for the H was 435 coupes and 123 convertibles for 558 total. We have records for only 278 (202 coupes and 76 convertibles.) With so much missing data, we are limited in the conclusions we can draw. But that doesn’t mean we won’t dive into the numbers and see what we learn.

The colors available for the H were Formal Black, Festival Red, Oyster White, and Caramel. Special order paint cars were coded 99. Special trim cars were coded 999. Convertible tops were available in black or white. The first coupe was a white car shipped on October 16, 1961 and the last was a white coupe shipped on July 19, 1962. The first convertible was shipped on October 23, 1961 and the last shipped June 28, 1962.
