Published figures show production of the 300K at 3,647 (3,022 coupes and 625 convertibles). We have 3,545 records (3,546 if you include the blank record) with 2,952 coupes and 593 convertibles; we are missing records for 32 convertibles and 70 coupes.

There were 240 Silver Editions. This option package included special paint, canopy roof molding and vinyl top. The cost for the package was $71.80.

The first Silver was built 02/06/1964 and they kept making them right up to the end (last one shipped July 6). 45 were shipped in February. 143 were shipped in March. 18 in April. 19 in May. 11 in June, 4 in July.
Not all Silver 300s were silver; there was one car built in Roman Red.
You could get the Silver 300 package on a ram car. There were 8 built. 4 were AC. One was radio delete. One had 99 tires. 4 had power windows. 2 had power antenna. 3 had tilt wheel.

There were 325 rams; 266 coupes, 59 convertibles.
Ram coupes: 32 were Formal Black. 6 were Wedgewood Blue. 10 were Nassau Blue. 8 were Monarch Blue. 2 were Pine Mist. 8 were Sequoia Green. 13 were Silver Turquoise. 7 were Royal Turquoise. 5 were Madison Grey. 7 were Rosewood. 17 were Royal Ruby. 35 were Roman Red. 87 were Persian White. 16 were Dune Beige. 3 were Sable Tan. 8 were Silver Special. 2 were 999.

Manual Transmission

82 Ks were built with the manual transmission (63 coupes, 19 convertibles).
The first was a beige coupe shipped on September 10th, 1963 and the last was a white coupe shipped on July 28th, 1964. January was the highest production month with 18 cars. There were no ram cars with the manual.

Odd Things

- Two cars were abandoned to carrier. One was a Monarch Blue convertible and the other was a Madison Grey coupe.
- When sorted by VIN, 10 of the last 11 cars were ram cars.
- There is one record where the paint is W61. Most likely this is WW1.
- One car has interior M4-. It should be M4B, M4T, M4W, M4R, or M4X.
- There is one convertible with heater code 2. This means dual AC but dual AC was not offered on convertibles (where do you put the evaporator?)
- For seat belts, there is code 0, code 1, code /, code 411, and code 419. We know 419 adds retractors to 411 (411 is two front color keyed belts). The difference in the other codes is not known but it is safe to say most Ks had front seat belts.

Survivor
Even though more Ks were made than any other Letter Car, not many Ks have survived. By our last estimate, 436 coupes and 140 convertibles remain.


With the completion of the K review, the only Letter Car left to do is the L. Unfortunately we don't have any records so there will be no number crunching for the L.
