300 Letter Limerick
There was
a 300 just plain
The top of
the pack was its aim
With 300
horses
It
suffered no losses
A victory
was its right claim.
There was
a 300 named B
Its fins
took the spotlight you see
But the
front had the engine
A big hemi
ragin'
And that
was the feature to heed.
There was
a 300 named C
That made
people jump with great glee
Its
styling was clean
It looked
long, low, and lean
A treasure
to drive and to see.
There was
a 300 named D
It
retained the great lines of the C
Its horses
were higher
Anymore
you might fly 'er
More road
pleasure just couldn't be.
There was
a 300 named E
It had
something quite new don't you see
For the
hemi was gone
And the
wedge came along
But it
moved right along brave and free.
There was
a 300 named F
Its engine
had plenty of heft
Ram
induction was there
It
supercharged fuel and air
A carb was
on right and on left.
There was
a 300 named G
With
headlights diagonally
Its grille
was inverted
But it
sure still asserted
Its
handling and power ably.
There was
a 300 named H
Four
inches were off its wheelbase
The fins
were gone too
But
performance reigned true
The Flying
Mile was done with great haste.
There was
a 300 named J
Its
performance was really OK
But its
image was different
Comfort
and luxury were evident
A record
few Js made their way.
There was
a 300 named K
It
retained the same lines as the J
With the
convertible back
Many sales
were a fact
Record
production the K could relay.
There was
a 300 named L
Its body
was new and quite swell
The grille
had a running light
But the
end was now in sight
With the L
came the Letters' farewell.
