300H Trunk
Preliminary page work in progress yada yada
The trunk side panels are black vinyl over cardboard and include a panel behind the rear seat.
A spare tire cover was not available on the 300H
The original trunk carpeting is a not carpeting at all -- it is a molded rubber mat, part number 2211129. These are scans of photos I took back in 1995 when I had the mat removed from the car. Few mats survive as they get brittle when the plasticizer leaves the rubber and the mat cracks. Most mats turn into pieces when handled; best to leave them be.
If you enlarge the images, you can see that there are 3 different textures in the mat; a smooth band that runs between a ribbed area and a cross-hatched area.

The jack instruction sheet is pasted to the trunk cardboard on the driver's side wheel well area.
The trunk cardboard is the ??? black painted cardboard ???. The 62s have a small metal clip to hold
the upper section (click to enlarge). These clips are usually missing.
The trunk latch is ??cad plated?? and the striker is body color. Note that the bolts on the
latch are body color.
Here is an original trunk gasket. It has pulled apart at the seam due to shrink.
On hard tops, the trunk hinge works on the typical torsion bar.
On convertibles, each trunk hinge has a pair of springs and a scissor link arrangement as shown:

The rear section of the trunk is painted flat black, similar to the treatment given to the front grille area.
